Five months before Farah's death, her home was broken in to late one night. Bradley woke to his mother screaming and saw a man dressed all in black in his mother's room. For some reason Daniel and Amber were sleeping downstairs with their mother, while Bradley was on the couch in the living room nearby. The children normally slept upstairs in their rooms. The same night their house was broken into, Farah had the children sleep downstairs with her.
Farah woke Daniel and Amber and pulled them close to her. The intruder told the children to leave the room while he and his mommy talked. The intruder assured the children that he would not hurt them but said that he needed to talk to their mommy.
The children left the room and the intruder locked the door behind them. Bradley heard his mom scream and began banging on the door demanding that the man open it or he would call the police. The intruder opened the door, casually went to the kitchen, unplugged the phone and put it out on the back patio.
During this time, Farah could have reached over to the phone on her bed and dialed 911 OR grabbed the gun (which turned out to be the weapon used to murder her) from her night stand and use it. She did not do either of these things.
At one point the man removed the mask he had on. Bradley said the intruder looked similar to a boy in his class named Dustin. Bradley also said that he heard his mom call the intruder "Kevin" or "Devon" and that this man was very nice to them.
It has been said that Joseph Prystash is the one who broke into the Fratta house that night. A few days after the home invasion, Mr. Fratta was picking the children up from the health club nursery when Joe Prystash walked in. Mr. Fratta and Mr. Prystash exchanged hello's. Robert Fratta asked Bradley if that looked like the man who had been in his home and Bradley said no.
Detective Davis never went to Robert Fratta (as he claimed on the TV show 48 Hours) and said that he knew it was Robert that had something to do with this break in. Robert Fratta did not know about it until his son, Bradley told him what had happened. Mr. Fratta went to the sheriffs office to see what he could find out about it. He even asked Detective Davis about why Farah did not use the gun by her bed or call 911. In a recorded conversation (which has also conveniently gone missing) Detective Davis told Mr. Fratta, that's why he did not believe Farah's story.
**Why is it that the children just happened to sleep downstairs THAT night? To be a witness to this?
**Could the man that was in their house that night have been Kevin Miller?
**What was the motive for that break in? To possibly frame Robert so that he would not get custody of his children?
**Why would Farah give Robert's gun to her father after this happened? And why wouldn't her father make her keep it for protection?
**Why would Lex Baquer give a gun to the man his daughter was supposed to be afraid of?
